[Scribus] AnonCVS and Qt

Paul,
I'm glad to hear your KDE 3.1 works smoothly with QT 3.2.1. Now I'm in 
the middle of the QT compilation, which has been running for 10 hours so 
far, and I want to make sure that this won't be a desaster, before I'll 
type "make install". A few questions from not so literate Linux user:

1. Did you replace your "old" QT or install the new one additionally to 
the old one?

2.  Did you permanently point your QTDIR and other environmental 
variables in question to the new QT (e.g. in your .profile)?

3.  If I point QTDIR to the new QT before compiling  Scribus, will I 
need to do the same thing before RUNNING Scribus?
