[Scribus] can't export to pdf

Are you sure your PDF export library was built ok and can be found? 

The file is libpdf.so and will be in something like
/usr/local/lib/scribus/libs or
/usr/lib/scribus/libs

Try running Scribus from the command line and see if you get any output
there. 
You might get a Can't find Plugin or Can't find Symbol error shown
there.
