Sounds like your compiler is up the wall! I've only ever seen that when
the compiler has somehow become corrupted.

Just to make sure try this - it doesn't need Qt - it's just straight C++

#include <iostream>

using namespace std;

int main()
{
  cout << "Hello world!" << endl;
}

If that fails, then your compiler is broken and you will either need to
reinstall or download a fresh copy and install from that (this is the
prefered method, but not for the faint of heart)
