[Scribus] [ Scribus ] Fonts

" Is there a limit to the number of fonts Scribus can handle? Or to the
number of directories you tell it to look for fonts in? "

I do not think there is a limit to either one, But I know on SuSE I cant get 
Scribus to identify a few, for example Bitstream Vera and Times New Roman or 
any of the MS Fonts will not render, when I try to use Tahoma it comes back 
looking like chinese.
