[Scribus] Seggfault with TrueType fonts?

I consistently get segmentation faults when I try to load scribus with a 
set of truetype fonts served by xfs. If I remove the truetype font 
directory from xfs, scribus loads fine.

Has anyone else seen this behavior, or know of a work-around?
