Hello Owen,

According to your statement above, I should remove /usr/share/qt3/lib 
from /etc/ld.so.conf ?
What about
libqt.so.3 -> libqt.so.3.1.1 from /usr/share/qt3/lib ?
Isn't the first entry the one which is used?

/usr/local/qt/lib:
        libqui.so.1 -> libqui.so.1.0.0
        libqt-mt.so.3 -> libqt-mt.so.3.2.3
/usr/share/qt3/lib:
        libqt-mt.so.3 -> libqt-mt.so.3.2
        libqui.so.1 -> libqui.so.1.0
        libqt.so.3 -> libqt.so.3.1.1
