[Scribus] Scribus user questions

Hello--

I'm trying Scribus from the other angle--as a user (on Darwin/X11) 
instead of as a builder/developer, since it's been a while since I 
tried it and not the latest version.

Two questions:

1. Is there a way to use typographical quote marks (curly quotes) 
instead of plain straight quote, and em/en dashes instead of hyphens?

2. Is there a way to mix percentages of CMYK to achieve custom colors? 
i.e. add 50% magenta to 100% black to get rich black.
