[Scribus] Setting linescreen when printing pdf file

This is more a function of the printer driver and/or the image program, than 
Scribus IMO.  For images, it is quite simple to specify this in Photoshop 6+ 
with the resize image function. I looked and GIMP 2.0.2 does not have this 
specific capability.

Depends on which version. Pagemaker 7.0 will import Scribus PDF'S without real 
difficulty, as long as they do not have advanced PDF 1.4 features e.g. 
gradients, some kinds of blends and transparency. This is a limitation of the 
importer. Otherwise, they import without issue. This I am quite sure of as I 
have clients who previously used PM 7 exclusively and imported from other 
apps via PDF.

PM 6.5 has a PDF importer, but it is limited to Acrobat 3.0 or PDF 1.2.

In Full Acrobat generally, but again the printer drivers for your particular 
printer come into play.
