[Scribus] WMF Graphics Import?

I have switched to Linux but have accumulated literally thousands of metafile 
graphics in *.wmf format. And there are thousands more available (coverdiscs 
on Computer Mags, etc) for free!

Is there any chance that Scribus will be able to use these files? At present I 
have to convert them to EPS using OpenOffice Draw which seems to be like 
using a sledgehammer to crack a nut...
