[Scribus] Bug or Feature?

Hi there,

I am new here, although I am using Scribus for quite some weeks now
trying to understand all its features.

There are some questions left:

- When I determine a border, Scribus will not print outside that border.
Maybe this makes sense to some people, but when I want to use the border
for page numbers or footers or pictures falling out of the ordinary
layout or anything else at times, it is only possible when I set the
border to nearly 0. Else it won't print there. This would be ok, but the
option to have text frames inserted to every new page depends on these
borders. Even if such a behaviour of border made sense, shouldn't new
text frames be based on some kind of different confines? Now I will have
to fix the borders for every new page to have any new text frames be
inserted correctly, and then reconfigure them to have any objects lying
outside be printed.

- As we talk about page numbers - isn't there any way of having them
inserted automatically in any text frame? I do not require kind of
automatic footing or headers including page numbers (it would be nice,
but one can live without it), but a simple tag such like # or so would
be nice - or a "field command" or something like that. I didn't find
that yet, at least.

- Template Pages just appear as background. This is perfect for page
numbers, logos and lines appearing on every new page, but it should be
called Background Template or so. A Template Page in my opinion should
produce a new page with all elements of text frames and so on free to be
worked on (except the locked ones).

I hope someone can explain me why Scribus works these ways and how you
think one should work with it :-)

Rolf
