Susan,

Don't at all be afraid to use the CVS as your daily Scribus!  I have 
never seen an instance of CVS that was wasn't as stable as the standard 
file posted.  You may run into one that won't compile for some little 
reason, quickly fixed by the guys, but not unstable.  In fact, I think 
you'll find using the CVS builds to be a pleasure with the added 
features and bug fixes that are done.

You can of course install it alongside of your present Scribus, as some 
of the guys have pointed out, if that makes you feel somewhat safer.  I 
think I can assure you, as others here would as well, that you'll see 
few, if any problems using the CVS daily.

Not sure I would build a daily CVS, but I do try to maintain a weekly 
build to work with.  I find getting all those new features and bug fixes 
at once makes me feel all fuzzy inside!  ;o)
