[Scribus] Resizing a document, coloring tiffs & formatting tags

I started out creating a trifold legal-sized document, and somewhere
along the lines I decided that it would be nice to have a shaded area
behind two panels, all the way to the edge of the page (what's the
proper terminology for that in English anyway?).
Problem of course, is that my printer will not print right to the edge.
It will do 11 x 17, but I can't seem to figure out how to change from
legal to ledger without redoing the whole page.
Also, I have one spot color at my disposal, so I'm trying to make good
use of it. I've got a couple of tiff images that I'd like to print in my
spot color. Does Scribus that, or do I have to change the color in the
Gimp?
And lastly, does Scribus support any kind of formatting tags while
importing plain text. Can Scribus be launched from the command line to
do batch printing? Are there any extra flags that can be passed on from
the command line?
Regards,
Dylan.
