do you know checkinstall?

If it doesn't come with FC3, do a little google. Once installed, you can 
run "checkinstall" instead of "make install" (if you want to build a 
rpm-package, run "checkinstall -R"). Checkinstall will create an rpm you 
can copy to your 2 other machines.
