[Scribus] Scripter question

I am in the beginning (headache) stages of trying to learn enough Python 
to do some scripting.  What I would like to do eventually as a learning 
project is to duplicate in a script what my scribalbum.pl program did -- 
take a directory full of pictures and turn them into an album of sorts 
in Scribus.

I can load an image, but I can't find the command to tell Scribus to fit 
the image to the frame...is there a command to do that?
