[Scribus] new to list

hello everyone.

just joined the list. i've been using Scribus to create do our local
mountain bike magazine. i LOVE the program. 

i do have one question - does Scribus support transparent images? i've
tried to use them but for some odd reason they don't seem to come up
transparent.
