[Scribus] No jpg export into pdf - Scribus 1.2.2.1 package for Debian Sarge

Dear readers of this list,

using the freshly released package of Scribus 1.2.2.1 for Debian Sarge, I 
observed that it does not export jpg-images of Scribus files into PDFs, while 
the same picture gets exported into the PDF using Scribus 1.2.1

For example, take the image flowers.jpg, which comes with the Scribus 
distribution in the directory scribus/templates/nl2/ and insert it into 
Scribus 1.2.2.1, then export to PDF using the PDF/X3 path. If you try to open 
with Adobe Reader 7, it complains "Not enough data for image". If you convert 
the image to png or if you use Scribus 1.2.1, it works fine. 

Have other users made similar observations? For the time being, the workaround 
is clear - use png instead of jpg.
