[Scribus] What is best way to include a gnumeric spreadsheet?

I reported a bug using gs 8.01 just now at http://bugs.scribus.net.  I attached
a gnumeric .ps output file that is "bug"-repeatable with my system as is.

debian unstable has only gs 8.01.   Is Latest GS 8.51  compiled from source
needed to use scribus 1.3.0cvs?
