*might* consider criticizing yours. 'Til then I'm much too occupied with 
pedodentalia and other mishaps.

When I use yast to search for cups-dev it comes up with libgnome-devel 
ONLY. For some reason my cds lack the cups-devel.  I have now downloaded 
cups-devel from ftp:SuSE. I'll let you know how reconfigure and compile 
goes tonight -- your Tuesday midday.
