IMNSHO, it might be a good idea for Scribus as well as Inkscape folks
to collaborate on SVG related development as both programs claim to be
the most SVG-conformant open-source applications in their respective
domains.  The strange SVG incompatibilities might sound like an
unwelcome surprise to new users who have read the SVG
conformance-related docs of both the applications.
