My SuSE 9.3 came with Scribus 1.2.1. in the Office section of the main menu.

Instead of 'upgrading' my SuSE 9.2, I did a new install (into another 
partition from my SuSE 9.2).

If you don't find Scribus 1.2.1 already on your SuSE 9.3, try loading it 
from YAST>software.

BTW I used SuSE 9.3 from DVD's.
