While diversity is A Good Thing(tm), it starts to hamper communication
if possibly bad habits are taken over without being scrutinized.
It's also about respecting all the people who will read my writing - I
can make it difficult for them (by top-posting, full-quoting, writing all
lowercase, using H at x0r 5p33c4 etc.).
