Do your apps like KWord or other Qt based apps work with the dead keys. My
dead keys work perfectly well here with fr_CH keyboard layout, as do many
other users' layouts. We do have some reports, recently with Greek, however
as that user couldnt get the deadkeys working in KWord either, it was
definitely a system problem.
