An accurate font gizmo is it seems to me what is wanted: oblique, 
semi-bold, condensed, etc. Of course the fonts do not cooperate if they 
are not read rightly: but they display themselves accurately on the 
chooser, which seems to be sufficient? Cerainly fake 'italic', 'bold,' 
'bold italic' is to be eschewed. Speaking of too many fonts, the idea of 
sub setting  them was discussed just awhile back, somewhat 
inconclusively. Ah, the developers' work is never done!
