Very. I run into this even with the Fink/X11 Scribus build. MacGS 8.5 
can be had here:
http://www.ghostscript.com/doc/AFPL/get850.htm (scroll all the way to 
the bottom for a link to an ftp mirror)

I haven't installed this version, yet, so I don't know if this will 
prevent that dialog.
