[Scribus] Scribus for books?

I've used Scribus for a number of book covers: that's my main use of it.

I don't have any macros or scripts, but my printer (Lightning Source) 
provides templates. Just import the template as an EPS or TIF, and lay 
out the elements as required.

For whatever reason, Scribus produces huge PDF files in comparison to to 
InDesign: 20 megabytes vs. 4-5 megabytes. But that's not a big problem, 
as the PDF quality is excellent.

I haven't yet tried Scribus for the interior of books. I use other 
programs for that (InDesign or even a word processing program such as OO 
  Writer or MS Word like Aaron Shepherd), as they are faster for my needs.
