In MS-Word (sorry guys!  I didn't want to preach M$ products here but
couldn't resist myself from answering this post!),
Insert/Break/Section.  When you insert a _section_ break you get a new
page inserted whose layout you can change.  For example, if you had
US-Letter-Portrait before, you can make the newly-inserted section to
be of A4-landscape type.

Sorry for this spam!  But you said you had always wanted to have that
option in a word processor.
