craig, i did a make uninstall and make distclean. now, i just
deleted / usr/local/lib/scribus, /usr/local/share/scribus and /usr/
local/include/scribus and did a make install again and every thing is
fine again. thanks.

perhaps i missed it on the list, but what exactly are the advantages of
cairo over libart? i guess basically what i am asking is which one
should i build scribus with?

thanks and regards, subash
