[Scribus] first impression: 1.3.0 is terrific

Hi folks,

I downloaded the tar.bz and compiled it to give it a try - and I'm 
really impressed. 1.3 is terrific! On double-sided pages it will take a 
second to display. I could see it builds up pages differently (they 
"roll down" instead of popping up). Everything seems to run smoothly, 
and the improvements are easy to find but

Can I trust it far enough to do some work on it already? Is 
saving/loading running safe? Are there any dark corners you wouldn't 
enter yet?

When clicking around, I found one thing kinda roundabout: When I 
right-click on a picture and choose Edit, it fires up The Gimp with the 
picture. But when I leave The Gimp open and do the same on another 
picture, it just says "The Gimp is already running". So I would have to 
switch off The Gimp and start over. Isn't it possible to pass on another 
picture to The Gimp while it's still running?
