[Scribus] Using Templates

[Redefined Horizons]

I'm in the process of learning Scribus, and I'm having a problem using
templates.
 I've saved an existing Scribus document as a template.
I've added the template to Scribus through the Preferences dialog.
When I go to apply the template, only the "Normal" template appears in the
drop down box.
 I tried closing and restarting Scribus, but the problem remained.
 Is there something else that I need to do to enable the use of the
template?
