Sodipodi's pencil tool's smoothing is the best in the world - STILL! 
Better than illustrator or whatever software is available out there. 
I can really sketch tarzan comics well using the Sodipodi's pencil
tool - using my mouse!  It's super smooth.  I use it just for that.
