Hi Folks,

Are any of you familiar with how CorelDRAW handles this situation?

To get around the first of these problems, CorelDRAW has two sorts of
text objects. It has paragraph text - which is more or less like how
scribus handles text and it has artistic text, which treats the text as
a drawing object that can be stretched and skewed, etc. You can have
spaces and line breaks in artistic text, but it does not have a
paragraph concept.

So when you import (E)PS into CorelDRAW all text comes as one artistic
text object per word. This is not ideal if you want to substantially
reflow things, but for just touching up, it can work well.

We use macros to convert a selection of text from artistic to paragraph
is we want to make more extensive edits, but often you can get away with
leaving things in artistic text.

I woudn't like your chances on solving the second problem..., but at
least giving the option of the first gets text into Scribus that can be
touched up.

cheers
