[Scribus] Scripting: Get position of selected text

Hello all:

 

I try to make a script for generating a bulleted list from some selected
text lines as follows:

- user selects text line then start script

- script inserts a bullet and a tab char before the selected line, then
assign predefined style which handles tabulator position and indentation.

 

While exploring the scripter api, section ?Handling Text Frames? i miss a
function to get the selected text position and a function which assigns a
style to the currently selected text. Could somebody help?
