[Scribus] .sla import revisited

mdk 2006/Scribus 1.3.2

Page import works with one caveat.  In 9 of 13 pages,
type fonts are corrupted.

I have used Century Schoolbook L Roman for nearly
everything, but the resulting .pdf is a mishmash of
different fonts.

I have looked at the results with Acro 5, Acro 6, and
xpdf 3.01.  They all render it differently, and equally
wrong.

On some pages, the text is sheared along the left side as
well.

Any thoughts?
