[Scribus] No Preferences on Edit Menu

   I'm trying to make fonts on the system available to Scribus-1.2.4.1. Both
the internal help and the website documentation says to add new fonts, "Open
Scribus without any documents open. Then Edit > Preferences > Fonts, which
will bring up a tabbed panel. Select the Additional Paths tab."

   I don't have a Preferences submenu in Edit. I do have one under Settings,
bot that has no Fonts submenu. Without a document loaded, only the Colors
menu is not greyed out in Edit.

   What have I missed here?
