Thanks for that, I downloaded the debian 1.3.3.2 package and it worked 
perfectly

Also the 1.3.3.1 version on WindowsXP worked.

But the 1.3.4cvs of 9 Jul doesn't want to play.


In the meantime, I have found that pcal generates a "real good calendar" 
in ps which can be imported into Scribus.
