Excellent explanation. This is true if you want to get good results, you 
need a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience. Some people though 
are satisfied with a much lower quality result.

Has anyone heard of kreeting kard. This could be the program for those 
who don't want to learn as much. Then they could use the clipart from 
Open Clipart.
