[Scribus] weird ubuntu "thing"

Hi gang, wanted to know if anyone else was getting this weird "thing," it's 
started ever since I upgraded to Dapper - I'm running 1.3.3.2

When I start up, the properties dialog doesnt' display properly, about 2/3 of 
it shows up but the last 1/3 (splitting vertically) doesn't.  A 
quick "window-shade" of the dialog brings it up entirely, so it's not a show 
stopper, just weird.

Anyone else notice this?  I'm wondering if it's a video driver issue...
(unichrome chip, btw).
