[Scribus] How to Instal

Good morning ... after reading the 'how to instal Scribus 1.3.3.1'  
instructions, I am none the wiser.

Perhaps someone could, off list so as not to bore everyone else,  
explain to me how I can get the Scribus files to be recognised and  
installed by Ubuntu Breezy on a dual-boot Mac.

I'm in Brisbane, Australia if there's anyone a phone call away, that  
might be even simpler.
