You can import a PDF into an image frame. As I recall from scribus-list 
comments, this will rasterize it in the process, but resolution can be 
quite good (what you will see in Scribus is not the final resolution of 
the output). At this time, you can only put the first page of the PDF in 
the image frame, so in order to load subsequent pages, you would have to 
break up the PDF to one-page PDFs using some other software (pdftk is 
one which will do this).
