Know what you mean. You are likely missing some libraries and what not.
And, I don't think you can install the autopackage onto a 64-bit
operating system. I did it on a 32-bit without any troubles. I had to do
what they told us on the download page to run on a 64-bit machine, and
still two of my file tree items had to be changed, being in different
locations. Other than that, I run the binary install on Windows using a
dual-core AMD 64 4400+, triple-stripped disk system. My Linux box dual
boots 32 and 64- bit Fedora FC5.
Look at the movies that are online to see just what this program can do,
and how easy it is to do it, as good as anything I know of on any
platform, but faster. The program seemed to have been programmed and
coded by graphic designers who want ease and speed to do commercial
work. It has its limitations, being a page and spread layout vector and
picture editor integrated program. For the things I do it's better than
InDesign and Photoshop combined, both being relatively slow, even on
fast machines. <sigh>
