Hm, might be wrong here, but if you have a file that you colour 
manage, then it's up to you (or whoever created the file) to provide 
the colour profile, as any other way it would be guessing. note that 
if you have a monitor profile than that may be what is needed (eg if 
it looks correct on your screen without any colour management).

Also, i dont think that scribus handles CMYK profiles that well at the 
moment.
