Hi Nanette,
I can only encourage you to go on with this marvelous project.
Just a few hints.
1. The Scribus Windows port is almost as efficient as the Linux version.
No worries.
2. This mailing list is full of dedicated people who will rapidly get
you out of trouble. Just ask.
3. Some of these people know other DTP as well, including Quark and
InDesign.
4. Scribus is a frame-based application with lots of capabilities.
If you've been into the wiki and on docs.scribus.net, I can only suggest
you give it a try and get back to this list when you need it with
specific questions. Please make sure to tell us what version you are using.
I used Scribus to start a similar project and it worked just perfectly.
We handed the PDFs right from Scribus to the printer without any issues.
Hope that helps,
Louis
