[Scribus] memory issues using images

I am unable to place large JPEG images in 1.3.3.4. It is not clear 
where the error is coming from. I have been unable to file a bug 
report, nor have I gotten any help from the mailing list.

If you have large images and are considering using Scribus, you may 
want to reconsider until the problems are fixed.
