[Scribus] printing problem

Hi
I am new to the list. I have searched the archives but could not find a similar problem to mine, I have also checked the documentation and wiki, unless I missed it for which I apologise.

I am using Ubuntu 7.10 and Epson Stylus C66 with the latest Cups and GIMP drivers. Whenever I print from Scribus I just get a black print right across the page. I tried various setting on the printer options but no luck until I messed about a bit with the brightness, Contrast and Saturation but the results are very poor indeed. I am having to PDF before I can print reasonable documents. The printer works perfectly with all other applications.

I have listed below the setting as they are now. Could someone point me in the right direction please.

Cheers

Mo
