If you can print from other apps, the settings are not the issue. You
don't say what Scribus version you are using.
Hopefully you have a recent Ghostscript.
Try checking Alternative Print Command in the Print dialog, then
putting
in the box below something like
lp -dprintername
or
lpr -Pprintername
where printername is the name you assigned to your printer.
If that doesn't work, try printing to a PS file (in Print Destination
look for File) and see if you can view that to make sure Scribus is
generating a good PS file for printing.
