[Scribus] spellcheck for Scribus

Hmm..interesting...I have never heard of Google Docs but I am interested;
where do I find them?

I agree that Word is pathetic. I did a short course on MS Publisher once and
it was the ugliest, nastiest excuse for software I have ever used. IMO it is
nowhere near amateur standard, let alone anything of industry standard.

I have thought for a long time about going LINUX OS but a computer tech told
me once to avoid it unless I "knew what to do". Off topic I know.

Another question: what exactly does the licence for Scribus allow me to do?
I will be making a newsletter: I am unpaid and in a voluntary capacity to
make a Toastmasters [that group that stands up and talks a lot :)]
newsletter. I will be making it, putting into some PDF acrobat form which
someone else will put onto the Toastmasters site. [Toastmasters district 73
is what to google if you are interested in seeing the prior newsletters].

Am I legally ok to use Scribus in this way? I would assume that I am.

Andrew

Use Google Docs. I love that tool.
I write all my text in it. I have good
spell checking in there and I can access
my text from every computer.

Forget Word, it is simply crap.

The beauty of google docs is that you can
also collaborate.
You can publish the text online and also give them access
to edit it.
Google docs also saves the revisions for you.
This way you have a central place for your docs and no hassle with
multiple text file versions or others.

Google Docs worked very well also for my academic job, where I have
to share texts with faculty peers.

Best of all, you have a hardware crash and you do not lose your text.
Google Docs has a nice interface to also sort and store your text files.

It is simple, but it does the job of word processing very fine.

I agree with Christoph - write somewhere else and set in Scribus.
