[Scribus] PDF importing quality

Can you import the .ps file to some other app?
File > Import > EPS/PS will not work with a PDF, it has to be EPS or PS.

maybe try
pdftops -eps input.pdf output.eps

If there is more than one page, you need to 'burst' the pdf with pdftk
