Subversion. It's a revision control system that software developers use
to keep track of the changes to a program's source code. It lets us see
who changed what, when, and provides a central place for everybody to
put their changes and co-ordinate them.

It's common to write, eg, "Scribus SVN" to refer to the latest
in-progress version of Scribus that is only available if you get it
using the Subversion tool and compile it yourself.
