Yes -  I'm sticking to 1.3.3.9 though did somebody mention that there is 
a stable 1.3.3.10 ?

Yes -  I accept that, but I don't see that anybody is likely to do any 
serious production work in Scribus if later releases won't read the 
files from older stable versions.  I appreciate that file formats have 
to evolve, but I think there has to be a damn good reason not to be 
backwards compatible.

Our projects tend to be quite long lived.  As it is we already need to 
have MS Office, Pagemaker and InDesign loaded up, and multiple copies of 
any package won't help.
