Mike,
List server passes on the subjects that the authors of the emails use. It just
adds "[scribus]" to them. I'm not sure what you mean by "advertising" the
content. Anyone would be hard-pressed to create software that would select a
terse representation of the meaning of an email from its body. It's best left
to human brains. I suppose the problem is that people reuse the subjects
without thinking if that's appropriate. That is a problem that appears time
and again on every list I use. All you can do is ask people politely to choose
better subjects.
